By Plane
~ the nearest airport is Newquay, just over an hour away ~ Newquay Airport
By Train
~ the nearest train station is Penryn, just over 30 mins away ~ National Rail
By Bus
- ~ the nearest national bus station is Helston, just 20 mins away ~ National Express
- ~ There are 3 services. 230, 251, L1. get of the bus at "The Cadgwith turn".
Please Use The Bus Times website. On this webpage, our nearest scheduled stop is MILE END GARAGE, and there is a footpath from there, but, by road, you want the request stop before 'The Cadgwith Turn'. Tip for when using this website, you can seen the live location of the bus. Select Mile End, then select your chosen time, and a map will appear with the location of the bus. - ~ if you are arriving by bus, please let us know and if available we will collect you from the bus stop.
By Ferry
- ~ the nearest passenger ferry and water taxi is available at Helford
- ~ leisure trips are available from Falmouth and Truro
By Automobile
- ~ pop the postcode (TR12 7LQ) into the sat nav or google maps
- ~ parking is provided
- ~ Whilst some people may arrive via a more exploratory route, the best way to approach is from the A3083 south out of Helston and turn left at the lorry Cadgwith turning sign. Follow this straight lane for 3/4 mile and as the road turns sharp left, we are found on that corner. We do not advise people to routinely drive right down into Cadgwith Cove, moreover, to use the car park which is just 350m from the Cove itself.
What3Words - many people (including the emergency services) are now using an App called What 3 Words. In this, the globe has been divided into 3 metre squares. Then, using all the words in the English Language, they have created a three word address for every square. Our front door at Chyheira is "presenter iceburgs saving" - presenter icebergs saving making it far easier to find locations than XY co-ordinates!
Walking
INFORMATION and DIRECTIONS FOR WALKERS
'Chyheira Farm' is marked on the OS Map scale 1:16000. If you do not have that scale map, head for the church at co-ordinates

We are just north west of this location at the T junction in the road at co-ordinates

If walking from point to point and not a circular route, you may wish to take advantage of having your luggage transferred for you - Luggage Transfers
FIRST OPTION FROM THE WEST KYNANCE COVE:
Should you wish to head inland to the B&B before reaching the Lizard, you may leave the path
at Kynance Cove (at Kynance Cove Café). A rough track heads inland just beyond the Café which joins a disused vehicle track. Follow this
inland (passing the National Trust road that bears right) until you reach the A3083 at Kynance Garage. Cross the road with care and on the
other side of the road you will see a small lane which soon becomes a clearing and then a footpath. Follow this until you reach the next
road, where you should turn right and follow this road until you locate the B&B on the left-hand side.
THE FULL DISTANCE FROM KYNANCE COVE IS 2 MILES (3.33KM).
SECOND OPTION FROM THE SOUTH LIZARD VILLAGE:
From the Lizard you should head inland to Lizard Village. When in the village turn right along Beacon Terrace and bear left as it becomes Cross Common Road.
Follow this road until it bears sharp left, and at this point at the corner, take the path through the gate across the fields ahead. Keep walking crossing the stone stiles following the path along the
hedgerow. You will eventually come to Trethvas Farm and the Chough Brewery. Bear right here to follow the path into the field and continue north east until you reach the secondary road (just before the dwellings ahead and to your right behind the wooded area). TURN LEFT along the road, passing dwellings on the left and the Church on your right. You will locate the accommodation on the right just beyond the next junction.
THE FULL DISTANCE FROM LIZARD VILLAGE IS 1.56 MILES (2.52KM)
THIRD OPTION FROM THE EAST DEVIL's FRYING PAN:
Leave the South West Coast Path going east across the field. The path joins a minor road, follow this for 130m and to a T junction with Prazegooth Lane, take the footpath opposite that starts with a low stone stile to the left of a farm gate, and continue east through the field. Walk between 2 hedgerows for the 2nd field. For the 3rd field, follow the hedgerow path to Grade Church. After the church, the path meets a secondary road. Turn right and follow for 200m to the T junction where Chyheira B&B can be found on the opposite corner. Distance 1.3Km or 0.8 mile.
- There are numerous walking routes in the surrounding area. The highlight though is of course the South West Coast Path.
